The Red Falbala trench coat (self-made) – A Gabardina Vermelha Falbala (feita por mim)

I've made this trench coat back in 2007 (click here for the sewing review, if you’re interested); it was inspired by the Christian Lacroix Falbala trench coat, a special edition coat created by the designer for a well known European online retail shop. It’s ideal for the kind of weather that we've been experiencing (mostly cloudy with a few rain periods and temperatures around 70ºF). I’m wearing it with jeans and my “Valentino look-a-like” shoes which I believe are absolutely perfect for wearing with this trench coat. I've been wearing my flower print bag nonstop this week,… What can I say, it goes with almost everything. You all have a wonderful day and thank you so much for visiting and for your lovely comments!

  1. Hello, my darling!
How are you? Tany you look absolutely gorgeous in this red trench, it is very beautiful and suits you perfectly! Beautiful styling, especially the shoes, just lovely! What is or are your favorite designers Tany? I do love Christian Lacroix a lot for the abundance of colors in his collections, I remember there was time in his career when he was just so so popular that girls who were his fans, were asking him to create special lines at affordable prices. I wish this was happening now, I think stores like H&M or Topshop would have been the first to close a deal with Christian :-)
Wish you great week my love! lots of love kisses and hugs <33333333333333333333 xoxoxoxo

    1. Thank you so much, my darling! This trench coat is one of my favorite self-made garments and I have put a lot my time and dedication into making it :). Christian Lacroix is undoubtedly one of my favorites; I woke up to fashion in the late eighties, in the supermodel era... So my favorites were the upfront designer from that time; as time has gone by and since fashion has undergone so many changes, including the big fashion houses which interchange the head designers so often, I tend to have "favorite collections" instead of favorite designers. I am also drawn to great use of color and shape, but as with my musical taste, I have a wide span of favorites, some of them even antagonistic style-wise ;)
Thank you so much for dropping by and always cheering me up my dearest friend!!! Wish you all the best, and I mean it with all my heart! BIG HUG and lots of kisses <3333333333333333333

    1. Thanks Lenya, I was sure you'd love this one! During last weekend I spent some time unpacking some summer clothes that were stored away in bins since last summer and I found this "jewel" among them! Yes, some say that I would be better in a job somehow related with apparel... Who knows what the future holds...
      Many hugs darling!
