Mother’s Day outfit (self-made top)! – Mãe Coruja (top feito por mim)!

Happy Mother’s Day to all! Today it’s a lovely day, the sun is shining and the temperatures are high, it feels like a summer day. We went to Vagueira beach (I used to live there before moving to our current home) to introduce Henrique to the ocean! 

I’m wearing a sheer owl printed top that I’ve made recently (click here for the sewing review, if you’re interested), leather shorts and ballerina flats.

Feliz Dia da Mãe para todos! Hoje está um dia fantástico com o sol a brilhar e as temperaturas já a fazer lembrar o Verão, então fomos passear à Praia da Vagueira (vivi lá alguns anos antes de me mudar para a nossa casa atual), e apresentar o Henrique ao oceano! 

Estou a usar um top estampado com corujas que fiz recentemente (podem clicar aqui para lerem o artigo sobre a confeção, se estiverem interessados), calções de cabedal e sabrinas.

Off-duty: Salmon pink and ripped boyfriend jeans – De folga: Rosa-salmão e jeans “boyfriend” rasgados

Hello my darlings! Today I’m wearing an “off-duty” outfit, and I wore it to drop my son off at the kindergarten and to run some errands afterwards. I’m calling this off-duty mainly because of the ripped jeans; I’m still thinking if they would be appropriate to go to work… On one hand, people are getting more open-minded regarding these types of outfits and I also consider my work environment to be non-formal and creative,… Yet there are still those who wouldn't approve this type of attire, so for now I chose to wear these badly ripped/frayed jeans on my off-duty days instead. I’m layering the bat wing cropped top over a longer top because feel the weather isn't warm enough for that much skin exposure and I rather like the layered effect with the different shaped hems. Again, I’m accessorizing with bright orange and gold and I am very pleased with how the orange combined with the salmon looks, something unexpected but pretty in my opinion. You must have noticed how I tend to wear a lot of mirrored aviators; I own several pairs because they are my favorite type of eye-wear and today I’m wearing my golden ones. Olá meus queridos! Hoje estou a usar um conjunto para os dias de folga, uma vez que esta semana estou de férias. Usei-o para levar o meu filho ao jardim-escola e para fazer uns recados a seguir. O facto de classificar este conjunto como para os dias de folga deve-se às calças de ganga bastante rasgadas e desfiadas; ainda tenho algumas dúvidas em usar estas calças para o trabalho. Por um lado, as pessoas estão cada vez mais abertas a este tipo de roupa e a realidade é que o meu ambiente de trabalho é muito informal e criativo… No entanto há sempre aqueles que não aprovam; por isso e para já, tenho escolhido usar estas peças mais “avant garde” nos dias de folga. O top salmão de mangas morcego é curto; então e apenas porque considero ainda não estar calor suficiente para expor assim tanto a barriga, escolhi usá-lo sobre um outro top da mesma cor e até gostei da sobreposição de bainhas de formas diferentes. Reparem também que estou a usar a mesma bolsa e sapatos laranja de ontem: gostei muito de ver o laranja vivo com o salmão, uma combinação algo inesperada, mas que ficou muito bem na minha opinião. Para finalizar, acessórios em dourado, dos quais destaco os óculos estilo aviador espelhados. Este tipo de óculos é o meu favorito, por isso tenho vários, de cores diferentes.
