TGIF! The weekend is just ahead, do you guys have any special plans? Since it will be probably raining here, I will most likely spend it at home and I just might get some sewing done … We’ll see.
Today’s outfit features a khaki dip hem pleated dress that I snagged just two days ago with a 30% discount. I loved it when I first saw it but took my chances waiting for it to go on sale, and now it’s finally mine! The gladiator sandals are also new and I’m quite happy with them! Love the buckles on the side which allow them to fit perfectly and the mid-height heel. The earrings that I’m wearing are sterling silver and swirl shaped with black rhinestones and a pearl hanging in the middle of the swirl; I remember having bought them to go to a wedding many years ago and I almost forgot that I had them. I’m also wearing the same self-made bracelets from yesterday and a couple of studded skinny belts to complete the look.
In the end there are also some photos of little Henrique who is wearing a gorgeous T-shirt that he got as a gift from a very dear friend, it came all the way from Barcelona! THANK YOU!!!
You all have a wonderful weekend!

Any plans on sewing for Henrique? He's such a cutie!
ReplyDeleteHi G.! I must confess that since Henrique has been growing up so fast, I haven't been feeling largely motivated to sew him any clothes (mainly because he would wear them for three or four months tops and then I'd have to put them away forever)... Never the less I plan on making him at least a coat for next winter; I think that his growth rate will be less accentuated from now on and hopefully a coat will last him two winters...
DeleteKisses and thank you so much for dropping by!
Hello Tany, I must say I look forward to seeing your blog every morning.... Today, I had to send a little note to let how much I love your gladiator sandles they are beautiful... Can I ask here you bought them? Your little one is growing up so fast... Best wiches to you and your family......
ReplyDeleteHi Veronica and thank you! Regarding your question I answered it through Google+ hangouts, hope you get it; if not, just email me to tany0471@sapo.pt and I'll be happy to reply back with the info you asked!!

Hello my Portuguese Cuties!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou guys, look absolutely awesome together! Henrique's T shirt is lovely, Tany, are you sure it was going all the way from Barcelona and not from Auckland? ;-)
Darling, I so so loved your dress and the way you styled it, I remember seeing this dress in some high street store and also liked it a lot, all the accessories that you chose to team this dress with are very nice: the shoes, the bag, the jewellery, the belts... absolutely fantastic, and YES, of course the HAIR, love it, the overall look is just WOW!
Tany love, you remind me of a very hardworking bee, God bless you my friend, for all the beautiful and amazing work you output into the world, you share your beautiful passion with the universe and I am sure it resonates back to you in the most positive and enjoyable way,
Wishing you a wonderful weekend with your beautiful family,
love you enormously too my darling, many many kisses and hugs from your very good friend!! <333333333333333333 xoxoxoxoxoxox

Thank you my darling friend!!! LOL; about the hair I just decided not to fight it and go wild, LOL! I think it goes well with this outfit, but when it's too hot I can't stand wearing my hair down. My hair has become a little bit untamed since after the pregnancy: it has changed from slightly wavy to this "mess", I guess this can happen for hormonal reasons...
DeleteHnerique also needs a haircut; perhaps I'll take him to his godmother (who owns a hair saloon) this weekend and have that fixed, lol!
Wishing you a lovely weekend too, my love! Lots of kisses and hugs <3333333333333
Tu estas super gira e acho que esse vestido se enquadra muito bem no estilo "gladeadora"! agora oteu filho está cada vez mais lindo! Fica super charmoso de chapéu!!!

DeleteI totally understand why you fell in love with the dress, it's awesome Tany. You have styled it to perfection darling. Everything is spot on. Your makeup, love that you let your hair down, the aviators, just everything is perfect. Gorgeous bag btw! And little cutie pie Henrique looks adorable with his hat, so so sweet.
ReplyDeleteArrrgh! Tany, why the heck had you to mention Zara?! I had no plans to go there. OK that's a lie honey ;-) but I need someone to blame, see. I spent again far too much money but see there were so many things I liked and sale is coming early this year, most shops have already reduced their stuff, although Zara wasn't one of them :(( but the price was nice anyway. Remember I told you I bought some b/w striped pants a forthnight ago. I still wasn't able to wear them. I really have too many clothes. OK but that's another story. So I went into Zara yesterday, looking around when I saw the dress, It was smiling at me and was fitting like a dream and it has the most desiriable print ever, Stripes :) then I saw the most beautiful pants, they weren't in last time and I was lucky again got the last one in size XS. They have the loveliest bold blue/white stripes you've ever seen. Oh did I mention the pants are striped ;) Oh and there was that blue and white striped shirt, already half price at some other store. To make a long story short, hahaha, my wallet now is a lightweight. Bought another white jacket, finally the one I was looking for so long. Some other cute summer dress, two adorable tops at LTB, a colorful floral print sheer blouse, a hat, a white cropped top at H&M that will be perfect for the Zara pants, two belts and a baseball top. OK I wrote a book today, lol. But I just had to tell ya. Because you and I not only share the same clothes but also shopaholic disease ;) Well Tany you are so right, Zara has too many nice clothes, have you seen that adorable light blue trench? Tany it's a dream. No I did not bought it ;-) Oh and I saw the most beautiful shorts, gorgeous print, high waist, but again I did not bought it. Now I think I should have taken it too, duh! OK dear that's it so far. Happy Weekend Tany
kisses

Well darling, your thoughts sound exactly like mine :)))). I also own a striped dress from Zara's SS14 collection, it's a close fitting dress with tiny horizontal stripes and a slightly raised neckline... Very 60's! Today I also went to the mall and what was my surprise when I saw the 50% reduction signs on many stores! OMG, I couldn't help myself... Ended up with one more pair of white pants (these have a sheer panel on the side, so cute!), a cute knit top with uneven hem matching the pants and another top very similar to the golden brown one you got from H&M... I kept thinking "Lenya would love these clothes", lol! All these are from a Portuguese brand which I usually only buy on sale because it's a little bit on the pricey side... Their sales, on the other hand, are fantastic.
DeleteKisses to you, honey,
WOW que vestido lindo!

DeleteOh your cute cute boy!! Tany you look spectacular! This is the most elegant way to style gladiator sandals, and the dress is just too awesome! The colour, the pleats, the high-low hem, the ladylike and rocker allure. Super!!!!
