Self-made striped jacket (I literally have to run today) - Casaco às riscas feito por mim (hoje vou ter de andar a correr!)

Hello darlings, hope you all had a relaxing weekend! Mine was spent at home because, as predicted, the weather was rainy, not so great for the first summer day, ah! Regardless, I didn't mind staying at home; I took advantage of the fact to finish up this striped jacket and also do some closet cleaning. Today I have several errands to run so I chose to go casual and wear my black and white sneakers along with my newly made jacket (the sewing details were published here), black and white T-shirt and black neoprene skinnies. The pink earrings and floral pink bag add a feminine touch to the outfit, and together with the jacket, break with the slight “normcore” vibe of this casual and simple outfit.

Have a great week ahead, loves!

Beijinhos!

    1. Hi Kelroc, I don't know why Couture et Tricot is blocking some comments :(. I think its interface is a little outdated... For example, here I can reply to each comment individually and at Couture et Tricot I don't have that option available...
      Thanks for your comment

  5. Tany that's another of your gorgeous outfit, sportive yet classy and chic and elegant at the same time. The jacket is again a dream. You are so smart honey. You really got great talent! The two of us huh ;-) Your comment made me smile honey. I can't think of Zara without thinking of you. Like you I love to shop local so to say. We have so many precious little stores with the most exciting stuff. There is Luisa she owns a little boutique where she sells only Italian stuff like my blue heels. I love shopping in those stores. I still have no palazzo pants, they are always too long, and I am helpless at such things, though. Me too hopes that the blue trench goes into sale. And the shorts too, lol. Your striped dress is different from mine but guess what! mine too is sooo sixty! Mine has vertical stripes, and a v-neck and two fake zipper pockets. Tany I think we must be twins separated by birth, lol. I am wondering how many other items in our closets we share ;-) It's kinda exciting honey. OK gotta dash now.
    big big kisses Tany darling

    1. Thank you so much, Lenya! You know, I have a couple of good friends working at Zara and they always tip me off about new arrivals in store... That's probably why I have so many clothes and shoes from them. I also think both their quality and style have improved since a few years ago; some of their clothes have really nice details, IMO. In spite of all this, my favorite clothes are ALWAYS the ones that I make, but with a son taking most of my free time for himself (thank God he sleeps long naps in the afternoon!), I tend to buy more clothes than I used to, just to be able to feed my appetite for new clothes and looks, lol! Many kisses and hugs to you, my friend!

    2. Tany that's the best description I've ever heard....to feed my appetite for new clothes and looks.......You hit the nail on the head darling, that's it. You are right about Zara, I remember back in 03/04 around that time, Zara had really good quality clothes, then all of a sudden the quality dropped down so drastically that I rarely shopped there any longer. I even stopped looking because it wasn't worth the time. Then some day a work mate showed me something she bought at Zara and I was impressed because it was trendy and of good quality. I paid them a visit the very same eve and was happy to see they were back to their old standards.
      kisses darling

  7. Perfect sporty outfit, love the flower print with stripes, really inspiring!!!!!!!! The weather is rainy in my country too, and a little bit cold, but I wore strappy sandals and a lace bomber jacket today (I bought it on sales now). I try not to go to the shops because of the sales!! I bought only 2 items until this day.....:)
Have a beautiful week! xx Eszter
