These pants and blazer were birthday gifts from M. and I was dying to show them off (there was also a pink summer coat, but I’ll save that one for a later outfit). I chose golden accessories (including the bag) matching the golden zippers of the blazer and a light chevron print top to complete the set.
Today I am a bit stressed out because of my son's horrible behavior in the morning; I think he's in that phase of children’s development when he tries to stretch out the boundaries and impose his will over ours. Adding to that his canines are erupting and I think it adds to his disruptive behavior. He always was a willing eater but lately we're having some trouble feeding him the usual meals. It looks like he wants something (but is unable to express what it is) and then expresses his frustration refusing to eat. Most times we're able to distract him and once the first spoon gets in his mouth, the rest go in smoothly, but other times we aren't able to get him to eat. This has been happening at the kindergarten too and I can’t help being worried about it. Does any of you mothers out there knows what I'm talking about? Do you have any advice to apply in these situations?
As usual I wish you all a wonderful day, the weekend is almost here and hopefully things will get better. Happy Friday!

DeleteHi Tany, you exude class and grace in this sophisticated and stunning pantsuit, it looks timeless and elegant, and the fact that it is white, you will be able to style it in so many different ways. I like this chic black and white theme and the elements of gold are beautiful with it. I have worked as a teacher in a kindergarten before, perhaps your son has a sore throat or mouth sore that he doesn't know how to tell you about and thats why he can't eat? Or maybe something is bothering him at school. I hope it gets sorted out. Id love to see your jacket, please let me know when you post it. Thanks for your all your wonderful comments...Happy weekend hun!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, darling! Yes, I think the problem with my son is the fact that he's not able to express what he wants; he's almost 22 months old but he still can't speak (nothing understandable, that is). He gets angry and refuses to eat... His canines are also erupting which contributes to his general bad mood.
DeleteMany hugs to you, Sam!
Qué guapa, me gusta mucho tu look y cómo lo has combinado, te queda genial!
ReplyDeleteBesitos!
Muchas gracias Tere!
DeleteSorry can't give you any help with the little man, no kids here, see. Hope it will getting better. Why not ask him what he want to eat, I mean let him choose what he likes or is he too young? Sorry Tany I really haven't any clue :-/
ReplyDeleteHoney you look gorgeous, this combo is beautiful, the jacket amazing, the top so pretty and the pants are divine. Love the bag. Tany darling great minds think alike ;-) See, me neither like to plan my next day outfit because I always dress up to my mood.
Happy Friday my friend

Thanks my darling friend! Part of the problem IMO is the fact that he doesn't speak just yet... He's almost 22 months old and I think he gets frustrated when we're unable to understand what he wants.
DeleteMany hugs!
Beautiful Tany. Kids... I have two boys. Both teens... The only thing I can say is that kids are always testing you, and your patience... It is a long, wonderful ride. Hugs, Luiza
ReplyDeleteThanks Luiza! I'm learning just that the hard way, I guess... Many hugs

DeleteHi Tany,
ReplyDeleteFrom what I understood this is a very important stage for babies. This is the stage when they try to be independent and when they understand that they are a complete person and not part of us - their parents. They do it by resisting us, especially with everything that has to do with their bodies - eating, dressing up, putting on a diaper. They understand that their body is their own and they want to "decide on it".
I know how hard this is, we're going through the same stage right now, but I find that if I don't try to "manipulate" him into eating, or get over excited when he does, he eats more willingly. Don't worry, if he's hungry, he'll eat :-)
Have a great day!
x Libby
Thank you so much, Libby! I'm so glad I'm not alone in this journey... Others have been/are in the same road and eventually things will get better!

DeleteAs will all things, this too shall pass. My 4 year old went through the same phases. Don't worry to much about the lack of appetite, when he wants to eat he will eat. My son quickly got his appetite back once his teeth came in and now he eats like a horse! On the behaviour front, my son would get hugely frustrated when he could not communicate his needs. When I figured out what it was he wanted. I would teach him how to ask for it, I started with two words e.g. "water please" then progressively added more. As long as your family doc is happy with everything, then try not to worry! I hope this helps!
ReplyDeleteYou look chic, cool and super elegant in this outfit. The cut of the blazer and the chevron print top are lovely!

Thank you so much Diana! Yes, I think the problem will be mitigated when he learns how to express his needs... He's not able to speak just yet, he points and gesticulates towards what he wants but he doesn't always get understood and this really makes him angry. There are bad and good days,... Yesterday he behaved much better, even fed himself with a spoon, which made me very happy! Many hugs
DeleteDear Tany, if it's of any comfort, you don't look stressed out at all! I love that suit and the choice of the golden accessories and the aviator shades. My girl has a very strong character, so I can imagine what you are going through!! Thank you for your lovely comments, I always feel you honestly think what you tell me, which is not that to give for granted!

Thank you Coco! Things will eventually get better I guess... One thing I learned: many parents go through the same problem, it looks to be a normal stage of the toddler development. I feel more rested knowing that.
DeleteMany hugs to you, darling!
