Houndstooth, my way – Pied-de-Poule, à minha maneira

Houndstooth became a big trend this winter (specially the bold print version) but in my opinion, it’s a classic that never goes out of fashion. I made this coat back in 2009 (click here for the sewing review) and I’ve been wearing it winter after winter, and always getting a lot of compliments on it. I really love the shape of this coat; the wide raised collar is very original and I also like its a-line shape from the waist down, a refreshing variation from the boxy silhouettes that are most in trend right now. O padrão pied-de-poule (ou pata-de-galo) tornou-se tendência este Inverno, principalmente na sua versão maior, mas na minha opinião é um clássico que nunca fica fora de moda. Fiz este casaco em 2009 (cliquem aqui para os detalhes de costura) e tenho-o usado Inverno após Inverno, e obtido sempre muitos elogios. Adoro a forma larga e ligeiramente levantada da gola e também gosto do facto de ser um modelo evasé da cintura para baixo, para variar das silhuetas largueironas mais em voga presentemente.
