Casaco branco estilo militar - White military style coat
(Scroll down for English)
After a short absence I’m back to Tany et la Mode and also back to the office. My vacations were short and I had tons of things to do but still I managed to finish this summer coat, my first sewing project out of my new sewing room!
I coordinated it with a floral dress (dark brown and white) and white wedge sandals. I forgot to take pictures of my bag but you can see me wearing it here.
OK, so this coat is going straight to dry cleaners to get a water repellent treatment in the attempt to avoid that it gets dirty so easily.

Even though "Summer Coat" is an oxymoron for me... we've been having near 100 degrees fahrenheit weather! Yours is gorgeous! I would love a style like that for cooler weather!
ReplyDeleteThe coat has turned out beautifully. Love it with the shoes :)
ReplyDeleteFicou espetacular!

Boa sorte! Beijinhos
ReplyDeleteIt's a gorgeous outfit. But, I'm with Erica. I can't imagine actually wearing a summer coat!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! The whole outfit is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteNancy and Erica: Thank you for your comments! Well, just think of this coat as a duster with a lining! The fabric is not heavy at all, in fact it's a little see through without the lining, and it's 100%cotton so it breathes well and it's fresh. I live near the ocean and we often get a lot of wind, so some kind of cover up is necessary early in the morning and in the evening... I always carry a summer coat or a summer jacket with me, even in summer.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful summer coat. I love the military look over the feminine floral dress. Great sandals too.
