EN: There has been much excitement and anticipation around the Jade dress since I posted the sewing review and many of my followers (both on Couture et Tricot, Facebook and Instagram) have asked to see how the dress looks like on me; without further ado, here it is. As most of you already know, this dress was made from a sewing kit containing the pattern and all the materials needed to make the dress. I only swapped the lining fabric for a nude color because the dress would still e a little see-through with the ivory lining which came in the box. I am really happy with the dress, it is a stunner in my opinion. I also made another Jade dress kit in black (read the sewing review here) and have yet another kit in red/black/white boucle to sew in the near future (check out the original here). To know more about the pattern and the making of the dress, refer to the sewing review on Couture et Tricot (here).

I decided to wear the dress with gladiator sandals; the draping and the empire waistline do remind me of the Greek mythology, so I picked the inspiration from there.

PT: Tanto no Instagram como no Facebook e no meu blogue de costura, o vestido Jade causou bastante sensação e muitas pessoas pediram para me ver a usar o vestido; sem mais demora, aqui o têm. Como muitos de vocês já saberão, o vestido foi feito de um kit de costura que contém o molde e todos os materiais para fazer o vestido. O meu vestido apenas tem um forro diferente, cor da pele, porque o forro marfim que vinha na caixa deixaria o vestido um pouco transparente. Estou bastante feliz com o vestido, é o centro das atenções onde quer que eu vá. Fiz também o mesmo vestido de um kit diferente, com tecidos em negro, que podem ver no Couture et Tricot (aqui) e ainda tenho outro kit Jade para fazer num futuro próximo, de bouclé em tons vermelho, preto e branco (podem dar uma espreitadela ao original aqui). Decidi usar esta peça com sandálias gladiadoras, basicamente porque a linha império e o drapeado me fazem lembrar a mitologia Grega, hehehe.
