Baby blue, gingham and culottes (self-made knit beanie) – Azul bebé, estampado Vichy e culotes (gorro tricotado por mim)

Hello dear readers and friends, how was your weekend? Mine was productive craft wise: I managed to knit another beanie and I also made some progress on my ongoing sewing project (a new coat). Today I wanted to wear the beanie I've just finished knitting during the weekend so I came up with this outfit: I’m wearing a baby blue biker jacket with black leatherette culottes, a gingham B/W shirt and a black bustier. I’m wearing knee-high boots which feels strange compared with the culottes plus sandals combo that I grew so fond of during last summer… I can’t deny the “gaucho” vibe going on with this outfit :).

One thing that I've learned from street style fashion is the value of a shirt when composing layered looks. A black & white gingham shirt, a simple white shirt or a denim shirt are all basics and play an important role on adding visual interest to an outfit. The accessories also play a major part and I feel the outfit gained an entirely new life with the baby blue beanie. Finally today’s scenario was also an improvement; we went to the Aveiro's municipal park during our lunch break and took this lovely set of photos, hope you guys enjoy it!
