My relationship with the color green has ups and downs; lately I’m feeling like I love green, specially the bright emerald green shade… So I gave in into buying this coat after an unsuccessful quest to find the perfect emerald green fabric and making a similar coat myself. All in all I think it was a good buy because the coat will go through the remaining winter layered over warmer clothes and since it’s unlined, it will stand the warmer temperatures as well when spring comes. The distinctive detail of this coat (other than the color and the texture of the fabric) is the exposed seams,… One must look at it as a design feature and not think that the coat is “unfinished” or just poorly finished. I’m wearing slouchy leather pants and heels (yes, my feet were cold!) and not seen in the first few photos because the wind was blowing it towards my back, is my flower print bag (featured in my previous post).
The weather isn’t helping at all with my auto-imposed photographic endeavor of recording my outfits everyday… In between heavy rain showers and strong winds I was able to snap these few pictures at my company’s parking lot. It was impossible to take close-up pictures in the end because the weather just got worse… Hope you’re getting better weather wherever you are!

A minha relação com a cor verde é um pouco de amor-ódio e tem altos e baixos… Neste momento estou a adorar verde, principalmente o tom esmeralda vivo… Então cedi e comprei este casaco, não sem antes ter andado desesperadamente à procura do tecido verde-esmeralda com a textura e cor perfeitas para fazer um casaco assim. Creio que apesar de tudo foi uma boa compra, pois posso usá-lo durante o resto do Inverno sobre roupa mais quente e depois na primavera, uma vez que o casaco não é forrado e é relativamente fino. Um detalhe distinto deste casaco é o facto de ter costuras expostas… Custou um pouco a habituar-me a isto, tive que pensar no facto como um pormenor de design e abstrair-me da sensação de que o casaco não estava mal acabado. Neste conjunto estou a usar calças de pele largas (um género que se tem visto bastante) e sapatos de salto alto (sim, os meus pés estavam gelados!). Escondida nas primeiras fotos (o vento empurrava-a constantemente para trás das minhas costas) está a bolsa que mostrei no post anterior.
De facto o tempo não tem ajudado nada na minha auto-imposta tarefa de fotografar o que visto todos os dias; Entre aguaceiros e vento forte, lá consegui tirar estas fotos… A sessão teve de acabar porque o tempo piorou e não pude tirar close-ups. Espero que onde quer que estejam o tempo esteja melhor!
