Henrique is
ill since last Friday with gastroenteritis and my time/will to blog has
vanished since then; today he’s feeling better already and my peace of mind has returned.
I didn’t
feel like taking pictures in the morning but after lunch
I asked a colleague to take a quick snapshot at what I was wearing. The
color/light balance isn’t perfect but it will have to do.
O Henrique tem estado doente com gastroenterite desde
sexta-feira e o meu tempo/vontade para publicar nos blogues desapareceu desde essa altura. hoje
ele está melhor e sinto-me mais descansada e animada.
De manhã não tive hipóteses de tirar fotos (já estávamos
bastante atrasados), mas depois de almoço pedi a um colega que me tirasse uma
foto rápida para publicar aqui. O balanço de cores/luz não está ótimo, mas foi
o melhor que se conseguiu desta vez.
Since my
time to sew has drastically dropped, I found myself buying a lot more clothes
and my favorite way of shopping is online (I hardly have the time to go out
shopping anymore). I took the habit of saving pictures of my online purchases
so making an “outfit of the day” board is quite easy and the
outfit elements/colors are considerably more evident.
Have you guys indulged in some clothes shopping during Black Friday/Cyber Monday? Well I sure did; I’ve been lusting over a vintage style pink coat for ages, even went fabric shopping trying to find the perfect pink fabric to make such a coat using one of my vintage Vogue patterns, BUT I didn’t find any suitable fabric locally and let’s be real,… With my current time availability, I’d be lucky to finish this coat before next winter! So I couldn’t resist a Black Friday online promo code and ordered this coat… I know, I know, it would be much better to have it sewn by myself, but isn’t it a beauty?
Desde que o meu tempo para costurar diminuiu
drasticamente, acabo por comprar muito mais roupa e o meu meio de comprar favorito
é online (há muito que não tenho tempo nem paciência para ir às lojas). Adquiri
o hábito de salvar fotos do que compro e assim fazer um quadro “coordenado do dia”
torna-se fácil e em algumas situações permite avaliar melhor os elementos e cores do coordenado.
Por falar em comprar roupa, aproveitaram as promoções da “Sexta-feira
negra”/"Ciber-segunda-feira”? Bem, eu aproveitei. Andava a babar por um casaco
cor-de-rosa estilo vintage há que tempos, até andei à procura de um tecido para
o fazer,… Só que além de não ter encontrado o tecido localmente, sejamos
realistas: com o tempo disponível que tenho tido, teria muita sorte se o casaco
estivesse concluído lá para o próximo Inverno! Então não resisti a tentação e
usei um código promocional para comprar este casaco… Eu sei, seria muito melhor
ser eu a faze-lo, mas caramba, não é uma beleza?
