Saturday outfit – Conjunto de sábado

A color combo that I like very much… Feeling tired today, didn’t have much sleep… I needed an outfit to brighten me up.

Estou bastante cansada, dormi pouco… Precisei de uma roupa que me animasse.

Strong shoulders silhouette – Silhueta com ombros marcados

The grey sweater was bought last year at a random street store; it stood out among many other ordinary clothes and it reminded me of the body armor the knights used to wear. The necklace, which can also be worn as a belt, adds some boldness to the outfit and also relates to the jewelry used in the medieval period. The top with the pleather sleeves and the pants were made by me.

Still wearing green – Ainda a usar verde

Wearing my green military style coat with a sweater I made some time ago (knitting details here). This week I’m definitely into green and black. Let’s see if tomorrow the tides change…

Mind games – Jogo mental

Wearing a new hat and the coat I’ve just made (sewing details are published here). Soon (probably in a couple of weeks) I'll take a break from winter sewing and gather up the inspiration and fabrics for start planning for my spring wardrobe. It’s not that I’m fed up with winter clothes, because they are my favorites, it’s just that I feel that I own too many of them by now, enough to feed my need for diversity until the winter is gone. I rarely repeat an outfit, and I’m always coming up with new ways of wearing my clothes, often mixing the old with the new… It’s kind of a mind game to me. Oh, and I don’t plan my outfits in advance; I decide what to wear while eating breakfast.

Black accessorized with green - Preto com acessórios verdes

I’m wearing a black maxi-dress that I made this weekend (sewing details here) and my new leather jacket (a Christmas gift from Miguel). I chose green accessories to complete the outfit (I forgot to take pictures of the bag which is patent green leather,…).

Unusual print – Um padrão fora do vulgar

Wearing a tunic I made recently (the pattern is an original by Paco Peralta, the sewing details are published here), with suede leather shorts, Obi belt and brown suede booties (trekking style with heels, a bit of an antagonism, I know). The outfit is complemented for outdoor weather layering a trench coat and a fur vest. The bag was made by me; it’s a knockoff of the famous Dublin Bag (you can read about the process here, just check the English language box on each post).
